1. Educating the believer on the worldwide task of spreading the Gospel of Christ.
2. Supporting those who have made the commitment to "Go".

Missions Education
Exposure
Our desire is for everyone to experience missions first-hand. Here are past and current opportunities for Short-Term Missions through SCC:
- Annual Spring Break construction team to Mexico
- 2010 Africa Mission Team sent to Burkina Faso to work at the Gampela Conference Center.
- 2009 Africa Mission Team sent to Burkina Faso to build a playground at the Gampela Conference Center.
- 2008 Exploratory Team sent to Burkina Faso, Africa.
- 2003 medical team sent to Tzalbal, Guatemala
Education
WOC plans a Missions Emphasis Day for children's Sunday School each quarter.
Each Spring, we organize a visit to Selah from a Covenant missionary as part of the North Pacific Conference's Mission Adventure mission festival.
Areas of Outreach
Selah Covenant supports missionaries serving the Lord through various tasks in these areas of the world:
Africa - Spreading the Gospel to the Fulani, an unreached Islamic people in West Africa. Click here to learn about unreached people.
Mexico - We partner with Amor Ministries to send a construction team to Tijuana each Spring Break
We also support the following organizations:
DOOR Africa - An outreach to one of the largest un-reached people groups around the world - the Deaf. Deaf Opportunity OutReach runs the Deaf Christian Leadership and Training Center (DCLTC) in Nairobi, Kenya, which trains Deaf in Bible and leadership skills. Their goal is to plant a Deaf Christian Fellowship within the reach of every Deaf person in Africa.
Covenant World Relief CWR is the international humanitarian arm of the Evangelical Covenant Church. We support CWR with a fundraising drive each fall, however donations are welcome anytime.
Committee Stats
The WOC holds monthly meeting to discuss committee missionary business and to pray for our missionaries. We also have annual goal-setting and evaluation mini-retreat each Spring.
We have eight main positions:

While it is our goal to fill each of these main positions, it is not mandatory to take one of the positions to be on the committee.
